Coupling of Existing Simulations using Bottom-up Modeling of Choreographies

چکیده
As a contribution for eScience, we discuss the bottom-up derivation of scientific choreography models from existing simulation workflows interconnected as a multi-scale and multi-field simulation. Starting from a motivating scenario of only implicitly coupled simulation workflows for the studying of thermal aging of ironcopper alloys, we present a choreography life cycle supporting the bottom-up derivation of choreography models and the propagation of changes to the underlying simulation workflows in a round-trip manner. Furthermore, we discuss several distinct starting points for the derivation, namely explicitly and implicitly connected simulation workflow models and already running simulation workflow instances.

Process Choreographies in Service-oriented Environments
Service choreographies have been put forward as new viewpoint in service-oriented design. They are especially relevant for business-to-business (B2B) integration and describe the interaction behavior of a set of collaborating services from a global perspective. These global interaction models are then used for generating interface processes for each service which in turn is the starting point f...
متن کاملWLAN Substrate Integrated Waveguide Filter with Novel Negative Coupling Structure
A fourth-degree Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) crossed coupled band pass filter for WLAN band is designed by using a new negative coupling structure. It consists of two U shape microstrip lines on top and bottom planes with via holes at the center of them. This paper investigates the phase characteristics of negative and positive coupling structures and their effects. The design, fabricat...
متن کاملApproach and Realization of a Multi - tenant aware Process Model Registry
Background The SimTech Cluster of Excellence [1] studies multi-scale and multi-physics simulation methods. These methods aim for combining different scales (e.g. cells, tissue, bone, skeleton) and different physics (e.g. mechanics, thermodynamics, quantum physics) into one overall simulation. The Institute of Architecture of Application Systems (IAAS) has built a Workflow Management System (WfM...
متن کاملBridging the Gap between Business Processes and Service Composition through Service Choreographies
Inter-organizational business processes implementations using service composition approaches are being more and more used . We want to reduce the semantic gap that exists between both worlds (business processes and services) through service choreographies, a composition approach that we think it is semantically close to multi-party business processes. We rely on modeling techniques as abstracti...
متن کاملPartnerübergreifende Geschäftsprozesse und ihre Realisierung in BPEL
The focus of this work is set on business processes spanning across multiple business partners. Such business processes are called choreographies. This work presents the method CREAM which allows modeling choreographies. In contrast to choreographies, orchestrations denote executable business processes of one organization, which use services to realize a business goal. A variation of CREAM enab...
